Our Toyota Landcruiser 100-105 series factory turbo front mount intercooler upgrade kit features a 280x300x75 core size, bar and plate intercooler , 2.25” alloy piping with silicone hoses and clamps. This intercooler kit is a direct replacement for the standard intercooler with 2.5 times the surface area of the standard intercooler, improving mid range torque and top end power. Hello Arthur and the boys at AWA . Ian in Melbourne here. I thought I might offer some feedback after having the Ase turbo Landcruiser 100 Series replacement Intercooler fitted. You are welcome to post the feedback on your site if you wish. As mentioned earlier, I have a 2001 Landcruiser GXL 4.2 turbo diesel 1HDFTE. The Cruiser is fitted with an aftermarket Unichip (hard wired and computer programmable version) and a Performance Exhaust's 3 inch mandrel bent flow through exhaust front to rear. Prior to the aforementioned mods the factory Cruiser was giving 420nm of torque. After the Unichip it raised torque to 525nm, a big jump. The exhaust went on next but the car wasn't re-dyno tuned at that point, although I did notice the car breathed better from mid range on.

So, on to your Intercooler which has blown me away. I didn't expect a whole lot of difference to be honest, I would have been happy with a small increase; how wrong I was. I had a local well regarded professional fitter install the Ase turbo Intercooler, replacing the factory unit. The fitter also has a dyno on site. The Cruiser went on the dyno, the Unichip re-programmed and the result was a hefty increase from 525nm to 665nm of torque; that's 21.1% increase; WOW!! Figures are good but don't exactly represent onroad and driveability. After driving the Cruiser now for some weeks, I can honestly attest to the fact that my Landcruiser now drives better than ever and there is a noticeable increase in accelerator power. The whole intercooler changeover was a bit pricey, mainly due to my choice to have a professional fitting and dyno tune, but long after the price is forgotten I will still have a fantastic vehicle with power to boot!
